How One to One works, from the waitlist to your first conversation.

Six steps to membership

1. Join the waitlist Your name, your city, and what you're looking for. A minute, no more. We ask whether you're a man or a woman because the ratio is the product, and we can't hold it without knowing which side of it you're on.
2. We admit in pairs We invite members as the ratio allows: one woman for every man. We'll tell you honestly where you stand rather than leaving you on silence. Why the ratio works this way.
3. Apply Your invitation opens a short application. A person reviews it for completeness and intent, not appearance.
4. Verify Government ID and a selfie through our verification partner. Under five minutes. We keep the result, not the documents. How verification works.
5. Build your profile Photos, a short bio, three prompts, and what you're actually looking for. Every preference that matters to you is free, on every plan, forever.
6. Align Express Interest in the people you actually want to know. When it's mutual, the conversation opens, and either of you can speak first.

We don't do likes: Interest and Super Interest

You see someone you genuinely want to know, and you tell them. That's it. You get a set number of Interests each month, because attention that's unlimited stops meaning anything. When Interest is mutual, the conversation opens, and either of you can speak first.

✦ Super Interest

For the rare one. A Super Interest tells someone you made a deliberate effort to reach them, and it arrives at the top of what they see. You get very few, on purpose.

Everyone who's expressed Interest in you sits in one place. No timers, no pressure, nothing expires. Decide in your own time.

No dead profiles

Holding an even ratio only works if the members on both sides are actually present. Profiles that go quiet leave circulation, so you'll never spend a week writing to someone who stopped opening the app in March. You're welcome back any time; you'll reapply and join the waitlist like everyone else.

Private by default

Other members see your general area, never your exact location. Your legal name and your document never appear anywhere. Block and report sit on every profile and every conversation, and you can pause or leave whenever you want.

What it costs

Founding members join free. One to One will have a paid membership eventually. Founding members won't pay for it, and we'll tell you the price long before we ever ask you for it.

What will never be paid, at any tier, on any plan:

• Verification. It's a condition of membership, not a feature.
• Your preferences. Every one of them, free, forever.
• Being taken seriously. Nobody on One to One is more real than anyone else.
