Child safety standards
One to One is for adults. We don't tolerate child sexual abuse or exploitation in any form, and we act on every report of it.
Our standard
One to One is a dating app for adults 18 and over. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). That includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, any sexual or romantic contact with someone under 18, sextortion and trafficking.
Anyone who takes part in it is removed from One to One, and we report it to the authorities as the law requires.
How we keep One to One adult-only
- You have to be 18 or older to apply.
- Before anyone can see you, you verify your identity with a government ID and a live selfie matched to it.
- If the ID shows an applicant is under 18, the application is declined automatically and the verification data is deleted.
- A person on our team reviews every photo before anyone else can see it.
- Members can only message each other once both have shown Interest.
How to report
- In the app. Tap Report on the person's profile or in your conversation and choose "Might be under 18", or the reason that fits best. To report a single message, press and hold it.
- By email. Write to hello@onetooneapp.com. You don't need to be a member.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call 911.
- Directly to NCMEC. You can report child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.
What we do
- Every report is read by a person, and serious ones are escalated the same day.
- We remove the content and suspend or ban the accounts involved.
- We preserve the evidence for at least one year, as US law requires.
- We report apparent child sexual abuse material to NCMEC's CyberTipline, as US law requires, and we cooperate with law enforcement.
